PPV Group Ltd have achieved high standards of safety and care to ISO 14001. Our systems are consistently monitored and tested to ensure that highest standards are met. Our dedicated Team ensure we fully comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and other relevant legislation, and that we meet and exceed the standards required to protect all of our employees and any persons likely to be affected by our work operations. PPV Group Ltd are committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all operatives affected by our work in connection with the company’s operations. Our statutory Health and Safety Policy and the associated Health and Safety Manual, which details specific arrangements for particular areas of H&S legislation, are combined into one management system.
PPV Group Ltd have created a positive Health and Safety Culture and ensure that Health and Safety is our highest priority. We consult and communicate with all those involved in the project and listen when feedback is given. Our aim to have no lost time accidents and minimise all other non lost time accidents. Our policy mandates that even the most minor accident or near miss is reported and recorded. This allows trends to be monitored with the emphasis on preventing recurrence.
Environmental considerations are fundamental to all forward-looking organisations, and PPV Group Ltd is working hard to make a positive contribution to safeguarding natural resources. We are working towards ISO 14001 accreditation and continually look to improve our efficiency and reduce our environmental impact.
On Site Safety
PPV Group Ltd has a Duty of Care to ensure we work safely on all sites and that work carried out by sub-contractors and specialist service providers is also conducted in a safe manner. Due to this we ensure that our own Risk Assessment and Safe Systems of Work are in place and sub-contractors are required to produce their own documents. PPV Group Ltd has a Permit to Work system which is used for our own staff and sub-contractors working on PPV Group Ltd’s behalf.
PPV Group Ltd has systems in place to monitor for Health and Safety non-compliances and take action to protect the Client and PPV Group Ltd; this action can be up to and including operatives being asked to leave site and/or their employer being asked to not send those operatives to PPV Group Ltd sites in the future. More serious infractions may warrant immediate exclusion from site and this is at the discretion of PPV Group Ltd project management team, Health and Safety Manager or the Client. PPV Group Ltd monitors the performance of specialist service providers and where implementation of their Health and Safety practices is found to be non-compliant they may be excluded from PPV Group Ltd approved supplier database at the discretion of PPV Group Ltd senior management.
Members of staff at all levels have annual performance and development appraisals with their supervisor/line manager or director. These appraisals include health and safety performance on-site and identify any training requirements (both Health and Safety and task/role specific). PPV Group Ltd Health and Safety training is carried out by external training centres where a recognised or established course is identified as the best delivered method.
